In November 2025, a senior management delegation from Faulu Bank, a leading MFB in Kenya, visited MuRong Technology’s headquarters in Beijing. During the visit, the Faulu Bank delegation held in-depth discussions with MuRong Technology’s senior leadership on the scope and priorities of future cooperation and formally signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum. The agreement establishes a long-term strategic partnership through which both parties will jointly explore new areas of collaboration, create sustained value, and support long-term, sustainable growth.
Founded in 1991, Faulu Bank is a subsidiary of the Old Mutual East Africa Group, and a leading East African financial institution with a strong focus on inclusive finance for individuals and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. By 2025, the bank has built an extensive service network spanning major urban centres and rural communities across Kenya. Leveraging deep expertise in MSME and agricultural finance, Faulu Bank has been repeatedly recognized as the Best Microfinance Bank in East Africa. The bank continues to advance its strategic ambition of becoming a digital banking leader by delivering accessible and convenient financial services through modern digital platforms. In October 2025, Faulu Bank initiated technical cooperation with MuRong Technology, introducing the MuRong M5 core banking system together with MuRong Technology’s experienced implementation team to support the modernization of its core banking infrastructure. The formalization of this strategic partnership further deepens the collaboration and lays the foundation for expanded cooperation in the future.
Looking ahead, MuRong Technology will continue to support Faulu Bank in building a modern and resilient technology architecture, accelerating product time to market, expanding its partner ecosystem, and establishing a fully integrated omni-channel service model. These initiatives will help extend the reach of inclusive finance and deliver more seamless, efficient, and customer-centric digital financial experiences.
At the same time, by leveraging their respective core strengths, both organizations will enhance their service capabilities and brand presence across Africa, set a benchmark for strategic cooperation, and establish a leading model for cross-regional fintech collaboration, injecting fresh momentum into the sustainable development of Africa’s fintech ecosystem.
